Planetarium No. 1 is located in the building of an old gas tank. One of its main features is a projection dome with a diameter of 37 meters. The dome is a large screen on which a high-quality image with a resolution of 8000 pixels is transmitted through projectors. It is partially in contact with the floor, which gives guests a chance to feel at the epicenter of astronomical events.

The resolution of the images projected on the dome reaches 256 million pixels - see the cosmos in great detail.

Sessions at Planetarium No. 1 include several films (introductory and two thematic).

• **"Planetarium Movie 1"** — Each program opens with a film that tells about the transformation of an old gas tank into a planetarium, as well as the formation of the Universe and the Solar System.

• **"Rosetta"** - the film tells about the latest discoveries and space missions to the nucleus of comet 67P Churyumov-Gerasimenko, including the difficulties that the Rosetta spacecraft encountered on its 10-year journey.

Planetarium No. 1 hosts educational and cultural events: audiovisual art festivals, symphony concerts and opera performances, free lectures and meetings with astronauts. On the territory of the site there is a scientific laboratory Space Lab, which can be visited completely free of charge.

The planetarium participates in the state federal program "Pushkin Card", which allows people aged 14 to 22 years old to visit the Planetarium for free by purchasing a ticket using funds from Pushkinskaya map.
