sail house on Khodynka field

Andrey Bokov and Boris Uborevich-Borovsky were the leaders of this architectural project. The unusual semicircular house is part of a huge complex called Grand Park, which, in addition to the “sail” and other residential buildings, includes the largest shopping and entertainment center in Moscow Aviapark, the Air and Space Museum, the Ice Palace and much more.

The “sail house” seems flat — it really has a rather narrow base relative to this scale, this is due to the fact that the building was built on the site of the runway that was once located There's an airfield here.

There are 24 floors in total, the first two are occupied by the lobby and various functional rooms, the rest are residential. Porcelain stoneware is used as a finish, the windows are divided by a horizontal pattern, which in the middle is broken by a convex on one side and a sunken glazed part on the other.
