The Zeiss-Großplanetarium is one of the largest and most advanced planetariums in Europe, originally built in 1987 as a flagship project to celebrate Berlin's 750th anniversary. Situated in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district, the planetarium features a 23-meter dome with cutting-edge projection technology, allowing visitors to enjoy an immersive view of the universe. Following major renovations completed in 2016, the planetarium now boasts a modern ZEISS UNIVERSARIUM IX projector and digital video systems for 360°-fulldome shows.

The Zeiss-Großplanetarium offers a variety of programs suitable for all ages. The building also includes a lecture hall and a bistro serving organic cuisine, offering a relaxed environment for visitors to enjoy before or after the shows. The accessibility features of the planetarium include wheelchair access and induction loops for hearing aids, ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests.
