The London Dungeon

The London Dungeon is a thrilling and immersive attraction that takes visitors on a journey through the darkest chapters of London's history. First opened in 1974, the Dungeon was initially a free-flow walkthrough experience but has since evolved into a 90-minute actor-led tour featuring 16 live shows, two rides, and a Victorian-style tavern.

Guests can expect to encounter infamous characters like Jack the Ripper, Sweeney Todd, and Guy Fawkes as they explore the macabre settings. The Dungeon's highlights include the 'Drop Dead: Drop Ride,' which simulates a free fall drop, and 'The Tyrant Boat Ride,' where visitors experience the final journey of Anne Boleyn along the Thames.

Located on the South Bank near the London Eye and SEA LIFE London Aquarium, the Dungeon uses top-notch special effects, eerie sets, and gripping storytelling to bring 1,000 years of history to life. It is recommended for visitors aged 12 and above due to the intense and occasionally frightening nature of the exhibits. The attraction is open seven days a week with varying hours, and tickets must be booked in advance to secure a timed entry slot.
