Tempelhofer Feld

Tempelhofer Feld, formerly Berlin's Tempelhof Airport, is now one of the largest urban parks in the world. Covering an area of over 300 hectares, the park offers a unique blend of open space and historical significance. The airport, which played a crucial role during the Berlin Airlift in 1948-49, was closed in 2008 and subsequently transformed into a public park in 2010.

Today, Tempelhofer Feld is a popular destination for various outdoor activities, including cycling, rollerblading, jogging, and kite flying. The vast open space provides ample room for picnics, barbecues, and community gardening. The park also hosts numerous cultural events, festivals, and sports activities throughout the year.

Tempelhofer Feld's unique history and expansive grounds make it a distinctive and versatile recreational area in Berlin. Visitors can explore the park's historical landmarks, enjoy its natural beauty, and participate in a wide range of recreational activities.
