Construction began in 1719 by Domenico Trezzini. A mashed yard was planned here, that is, a place where customs duties on goods imported into the city by water would be collected. But the muddy yard was completed as a guest house in 1736 for trade in overseas goods. A successful trading enterprise did not work out, as it was difficult for ordinary customers to get here. The living room was abandoned or used as a warehouse, but the facade was maintained in a decent condition. To date, the wall facing Tiflis Street has remained of the historical building, the rest has been blown up or rebuilt. You can't get inside, as the book depository of the Academy of Sciences is located here.
