The first residential building appeared on this site in 1770, it belonged to the secret counselor Teplov. Later it was acquired by the statesman and diplomat Prince Bezborodko. Thanks to the restructuring designed by the architect Lviv, the old building has acquired a modern look. Famous is the fence of the building, which is formed by the figures of lions supporting a thick chain. At the same time, a granite pier was built on the bank of the Neva River, decorated with sphinxes.

In the middle of the XIX century, G. A. Kushelev-Bezborodko, the last of his kind. The new owner was a literary publisher and writer, so many writers visited Kushelev's Dacha in the 1850s. Alexandre Dumas's father, who was accompanied by a warm host on his trip to Russia, also visited this place.

During the Soviet period, the ancient building of the Kushelev-Bezborodko estate housed a hospital for patients with tuberculosis. But Kushelev's Dacha began to be used as a medical institution back in 1896. The beginning of this was the location of the Elizabethan community of the Red Cross sisters of mercy here. In this regard, hospital buildings were built on the historical territory of the architectural monument.

But time does not stand still. The architectural monument “Manor Kushelev-Bezborodko” will face great changes. Currently, negotiations are underway with investors who plan to place a cultural and business center in this luxurious building after major repairs and technical reconstruction.
