Stroganovskaya dacha

The Stroganovskaya dacha was located on the Vyborgskaya side, not far from the place where the Chernaya Rechka flows into Bolshaya Nevka. For more than two hundred years (from the 18th to the 20th century), this area belonged to Russian merchants and industrialists, and later to prominent statesmen — Stroganov. Most of the buildings that were erected on the territory of the Stroganov Dacha were built in the traditional Baroque and Classicist styles of that era.

Nowadays, there is little reminiscent of the former grandeur that reigned hundreds of years ago. Once upon a time, the Stroganovs landlords organized magnificent holidays in this place with boating on one of the lakes, with an orchestra, walks in the park and fireworks cannonade. Currently, there are residential complexes and a number of enterprises here.

Today, the Stroganovskaya Dacha is included in the list of lost architectural monuments of St. Petersburg.
