In early summer 2011, an educational and tourist complex “Mini St. Petersburg” was opened near the Gorkovskaya metro station. It is authored by Alexander Taratynov, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

The most interesting element of the unique ensemble, according to the townspeople, is a group of sculptures of 8 people, which clearly resemble the outstanding architects and builders of the city. In front of the sculptures, on the table is a large map of St. Petersburg. It can be assumed that these gentlemen are considering where else to put a new building? There is an empty chair at the table. Perhaps for the future genius of urban architecture. In the meantime, visitors are happy to sit on it, trying to keep creative personalities company.
