Dobbert Mansion

In the middle of the 19th century, this house had a completely different look than today - it was then a classicist manor house that belonged to Privy Councilor Greff. The estate occupied the whole block, the house with a mezzanine facing Bolshaya Pushkarskaya, and a garden was laid out in the courtyard. Later, a wooden porch was added from the garden side.

The next owner of the house was the wife of the doctor Dobbert. Under her leadership, the mansion was radically rebuilt - the mezzanine was removed, but a tower with a wrought-iron openwork tip in the form of a spider and flowers and a bay window appeared.

The building now belongs to the Boris Eifman Dance Academy, but is not used yet. In the future, the Academy plans to place its museum here.
