Since the time of the Nabokovs, the appearance of the building has not changed much. The house number and street name also remained the same. The latter, however, from 1918 to 1993 was named after Herzen.

In 1999, the year of the writer's 100th anniversary, the Vladimir Nabokov Museum was opened in the mansion. Over the years, the museum has acquired a memorial collection and an impressive scientific library. The exhibition is located on the ground floor of the building, where the interiors of the main rooms of the mansion — the dining room, the living room and the library — have miraculously The former “committee” room has now been turned into an exhibition space, where art and thematic exhibitions are regularly held. A special place in the museum's activities is also occupied by the organization of conferences, lectures, creative meetings, master classes and other events dedicated to literature, art, and cinema.
