The 6th and 7th lines of Vasilyevsky Island are recognized as the most interesting pedestrian zone in St. Petersburg. The beginning of the street (as you know, two lines form one street) at the Vasileostrovskaya metro station is decorated with an old blue horse carriage, which was used in St. Petersburg at the end of the 19th century. On both sides there are many shops, cafes and restaurants for every taste, including the famous Cheburechnaya in front of the monument to Vasily.

In addition, there are two beautiful cathedrals here. First comes the Church of the Three Saints (St. Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom), one of the oldest churches in St. Petersburg, founded in 1740. Behind it stands the majestic St. Andrew's Cathedral. This is an active Orthodox church and an excellent example of Baroque architecture.
