monument “Resting Pushkin”

We are used to celebrity figures embodied in monuments sitting, standing or walking. This monument is notable for the fact that [Alexander Sergeevich] (http://kudago.com/msk/list/pushkinskaya-moskva/) lies on the couch in a very relaxed position, with his legs thrown on his back. Made in bronze, the poet is clearly immersed in his own thoughts and is resting, abandoning all pressing problems.

Alexander Rukavishnikov, the creator of the monument to resting Pushkin, is no less known in Moscow than [Zurab Tsereteli] (http://kudago.com/msk/place/rah/). He is the author of many Moscow monuments: Yuri Nikulin in front of the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Vysotsky at the Vagankovo Cemetery, Dostoevsky and other prominent figures of culture and art.
