L.I.Geltishcheva's mansion
The history of the mansion began in 1834, when merchant Stebnev built himself a two-story stone house, which became the basis for a modern building.
In 1904, F. Voznesensky radically changed the mansion for the new owner, whose initials were placed in the form of an anagram on the facade. The result strongly resembled a gingerbread house. Intricate extensions grew on the sides. The facade was covered with polychrome floral mosaics, it was decorated with twisted cast-iron grids and stucco molding.
The color of the finish successfully combined seemingly incongruous colors: pink and green, yellow and turquoise. The building began to stand out from the surrounding landscape, like a female decoration scattered in the snow.
