Ekval's mansion

The building is an example of the Art Nouveau style, which was only gaining strength at that time. It is noteworthy that the Ekval House is one of the very few representatives of wooden Art Nouveau in St. Petersburg.

The owner of the future mansion commissioned the project to the architect Lidval, unknown at that time. Later, Lidval became one of the main masters of Art Nouveau in the empire, and the Ekval mansion is still popular among professionals as the first creation of this architect.

The characteristic features of the style are also inherent in the mansion - wide windows, floral ornament, textured plaster.

Now the empty house is hidden by a high fence.
