After the reconstruction of the metro, the escalator was never opened, and over the years it turned into an abandoned place. There are two versions of stopping construction: lack of funding and the location of the lift in a danger zone. The escalator was slowly collapsing, no one was going to restore it for a long time.

In 2019, work on the reconstruction of the gallery began. It was surrounded by a fence, and there is currently a construction site on this territory. It is planned to complete the restoration by the end of 2022
