The Shukhov Tower (better known as the Shabolovskaya Tower) was built in 1922. For its time, it was a uniquely designed building. Initially, it was planned that its height would be 350 meters, but the civil war changed the plans of the designers. The Shukhov Tower is 148.3 meters high.

The steel mesh shells used by engineer Shukhov were subsequently widely used in the construction of high-tech buildings, and the tower itself was recognized as one of the greatest design developments.

Today, the unique structure is in disrepair; it has not been restored since its construction. In the near future, they promise to pay increased attention to the preservation of the tower.
