The park is named after the December Uprising that took place in 1905, as it is located in the Presnya area, which became the center of the fighting. In fact, the park is a memorial place where three monuments are installed: an obelisk built in the 1920s in memory of the heroes of the December Uprising of 1905, the sculptural composition “Cobblestone is a weapon proletariat” and, of course, a monument to the leader of this very proletariat — Lenin. It is noteworthy that these monuments have repeatedly become the target of destruction actions: for example, a large dent was left in Ilyich's head and poured paint on him.

The park of the December Uprising is small and is lined with huge old poplars, lindens, maples, which in summer create an arch in the shade of which you can hide from the sun. Children who gather at the playground, couples in love and elderly people come here to relax. And perhaps the most attractive alley in the park is located on its edge and is located above the nearby highway. When you stand on this alley, you get the feeling that you are on the balcony. In addition, the park is surrounded by buildings built in Soviet times, which is in great harmony with its theme, as if transferring visitors back in time.
