The Lefortovo State Museum-Reserve will appeal to everyone who is interested in the history of tsarist Russia or just wants to have a good time in the ancient park. Slightly overgrown, but this makes even nicer alleys, benches in the most unexpected places - the classic atmosphere of the park around the noble estate. While walking, you can stumble upon a marble statue, then a once elegant, and now half-forgotten grotto by Rastrelli himself, or a pond on which graceful swans swim. The best time to visit this park is, of course, summer. Thrill-seekers will be interested in wandering here at dusk, when, according to urban legends, ghosts of past owners can be found in the park.

Next to the old park, there is also a modernized part of it — several playgrounds, a place for playing basketball, shops and cafes. There is also a destroyed stage, a very popular dance floor in Soviet times.

Of course, having a rich imagination and a lot of free time, it will be interesting to walk in the park on your own, but still it is in Lefortovo, according to tourists, that you should use the services of a guide and even go to a lecture. You will not hear dry memorized historical information that can be read in any textbook here - they have long been replaced by fairy tales, legends, little-known jokes from the life of persons of the royal family, which have been here many times. For example, if you are lucky, you may witness the betrothal of young Peter the Great and his fiancée, noblewoman Ekaterina Dolgorukova. Or meet Peter the Great himself, who loved to visit these places with his friend and associate Franz Lefort. Lectures also look quite unusual here, where there is also a place for interactive and theatrical performances, in which the audience themselves can participate.

Men and boys will also be interested in the additional exposition of the reserve dedicated to military traditions. After all, even in the days of Lefort itself, a parade ground appeared here, and since the middle of the century before last, military schools were located.
