Church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God on Tserkovnaya Gorka

The Church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God has been standing in Moscow since the seventeenth century. He was able to survive the anti-religious campaign of the Communists, and the German bombing, and other troubles. Services did not stop even when people had almost lost faith.

The construction of the temple was ordered by Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich himself, nicknamed the Quiet, in 1673. However, the church was consecrated after his death, under Tsar Fedor Alekseevich, who personally attended the ceremony.

It has a special benevolent atmosphere, here you can touch the relics of saints, look at the ancient painting that was recently discovered under layers of paint and, finally, just pray for yourself and your loved ones.
