The observation deck alone is 25 meters high, and the total height of the bell tower is 81 meters. This is quite enough to see from above all the most beautiful places in Moscow. The church is located on Cathedral Square of the Moscow Kremlin. At the base of the temple is the Church of John Climacus, built in the XIV century.

The building is an example of Italian religious architecture: the bell tower here is located separately from the temple. It should be noted that the structure itself has repeatedly changed its appearance. The bell tower became the same as we see it now in 1600, when Boris Godunov ordered the construction of a superstructure. At that time, it was the tallest building in Moscow.

Now the bell tower is a monument of cultural heritage. You can get to its territory with an excursion, but children under 14 years old are not allowed to enter the observation deck. When planning a visit, remember that the museum is closed in winter, and its opening hours depend on the weather in autumn and spring.

The rest of the time, the exposition in the Ivan the Great Bell Tower (and the observation deck) is open in sessions at 10:15, 11:15, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00, 17:00. Admission is strictly according to the time indicated on the ticket. No more than 10 people are allowed for each session, so, given the influx of visitors, it is not always possible to buy tickets.
