House on Mosfilmovskaya
To begin with, this is a house consisting of two skyscrapers with 47 and 32 floors, which are united by a section of 7 floors. According to the author of the project Sergey Skuratov, this is an act of a person's will, his self-affirmation.
Secondly, it is a unique skyscraper: it is devoid of strict verticals, and the illusion of rotation is planned in its design. The forty columns of black concrete supporting the structure from below are also not vertical, they are inclined to the base at different angles. A waterfall flows down one of the walls at the level of the upper floors.
Thirdly, it is an elite luxury home, and therefore the level of its comfort is unimaginable for ordinary mortals. A fifteen-meter-high hall with a glass dome leads to the winter garden. Under the house there is a three-level parking lot for two thousand cars. The highest technologies are used in the construction and equipment of this building. Therefore, housing prices here amount to millions of dollars. The complex was put into operation in 2012 and has managed to receive many high marks and prestigious awards, including the House of the Year 2012 award.
As usual, big business was not without a big scandal: the Moscow authorities said that the developer Don-Stroy exceeded the design height of the building by forty meters and announced the twenty upper floors by unauthorized construction. But the scandal gradually subsided, and all claims were forgotten. The house, around which serious passions flared up during the construction, has become one of the most respectable buildings in the capital.
