It is said that during the hunt, the falconer of Ivan the Terrible missed the falcon, and this was punishable by death. The falconer's name was Tryphon, and he prayed to the saint to stand up for him and help return the bird. The saint helped, and in gratitude, just at the very place where the falcon was found, he erected a falconer temple, which he dedicated to his patron saint. In the temple, you can see a horseman with a falcon — this is a reference to this legend.

The Church of the Martyr Trifon in Naprudny is located in a village that used to be located on the tributary of the Neglinnaya. Nobody knows when the temple was built. And who built it is also unknown. There are assumptions that the church appeared here in 1470, built by immigrants from the city of Kotor, which is considered the city of the saint.

The temple is built of white stone and brick, the architecture of the temple is the architecture of early Moscow. He put his hand at the temple F. O. Shekhtel: But unfortunately, his work is lost in our time. In the 19th century, new buildings were added to the church, and a new refectory was erected.

And in 1812, part of the relics of St. Tryphon was brought here from Montenegro. At the moment they are in Pereyaslavl. In 1930, the church was closed, and in 1940 it was restored.

Divine services were resumed in 1992.
