Central House of Culture of Railwaymen

The Central House of Culture occupies a special, honorable place on the map of cultural and theatrical Moscow, and this place is given to it by right. Its building was erected in 1927 by academician of architecture A. Shchusev, a famous architect. It is protected by the state as a major architectural monument and is today one of the largest and most prestigious halls in the capital, serving for large-scale events. The Central House of Culture has a very beautiful appearance: its architectural features have been preserved in their original form, the walls inside and outside are decorated with stucco molding, the stage is made of valuable wood species.

The CDKZ has been and remains very popular both among residents of the capital and among foreign visitors. Over the years, creative teams were created within its walls, working under the leadership of I.Dunaevsky, L.Utesov, A.Alexandrov and others.

Amateur groups organized at the CDKJ were a resounding success. They traveled around many Russian cities and everywhere they were applauded not only by railway workers, but also by ordinary spectators.

Artists of the House of Culture also actively toured abroad. In Soviet times, they were one of the few who were allowed to do so. Thanks to these trips, the team of the Central House of Culture learned and fell in love with the whole world.

Since its opening to the present day, the House of Culture has been reconstructed and converted several times. Today it is equipped with the latest technology. All the most modern equipment pleases visitors with beautiful sound and created special effects.

Today, the Palace of Culture, as before, has its own troupe of dramatic artists, pampering the audience with new original performances of various genres. In addition to the native troupe, theaters from other cities that are on tour perform in the House of Culture.

According to a long tradition, the poster is replete with the names of only the best, most famous artists, musicians, film actors. Within the walls of the Central House of Culture, comedy and drama performances are shown, various events are held, concerts and shows are organized.

Along with concerts in the House of Culture, you can attend clubs, such as a theater, floristic studio, fine arts studio, etc. From time to time, a children's program is organized here, for example, during the winter holidays, schoolchildren can attend a New Year's show.
