“Capercaillie's Nest” bard club

The author's song does not tolerate fuss or pomposity. Therefore, members of the club, including amateur authors, performers and just those who like a bard song, seventeen years ago chose a cellar in a cozy courtyard of old Moscow, which also remembers Okudzhava and Vizbor, knows Tsoi, Mityaev and Nikitins. The unification of bards into the club caused a flurry of perestroika, which swept away obstacles, releasing everything that had languished in songs and conversations “in the kitchen” for decades.

Capercaillie's Nest has been and remains the most famous and prestigious venue where amateur authors, and now well-known composers and poets far beyond the Garden Ring, delight in the past fans of their non-trivial creativity.

Among the creators and regulars of the club are such meters of author's song as Yu. Kukin V. Turiyansky, S. Nikitin, Ye. Agranovich V. Berkovsky, O. Mityaev said. Young people follow in the footsteps of their teachers, which allows them to preserve the best traditions of informal truly folk art, manifested in a bard song.

Recently, the club “moved” from the basement on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street to the building of the Tsvetnoy 30 business center, to the former Literaturnaya Gazeta building, where Bulat Shalvovich Okudzhava himself once worked. So the connection between generations and traditions has been preserved, and Russian bards have received an excellent stage.

“Glukhor's Nest” is essentially the “winter” venue of the famous Grushinsky Festival, which annually gathers tens of thousands of spectators from Russia and neighboring countries.

In the new hall on Tsvetnoy Street, as in previous years, the audience can hear songs about friendship and loyalty, songs of truly civic content that make everyone who hears them look at life with their eyes a person who is not indifferent to his fate, to the fate of the country.
