Lion bridge
The Lion Bridge dates back to 1825. The outer part is decorated with cast iron lions, which were designed by sculptor P. Sokolova.
Since 1926, the Lion Bridge has been modernized several times: wooden beams were changed to metal beams, cast-iron bars and lanterns were restored, and the construction of the bridge itself was slightly changed. Despite all the changes, in 2000, the bridge regained its original appearance — the lions were again painted white marble, and again froze under the northern sky.
It should be noted that in 1938, a similar copy of the Lion Bridge appeared in Berlin and has survived to this day.
