Vorobyov's apartment house
The house on Bolshaya Polyanka looks more like a beautiful box - this is not surprising, many Art Nouveau buildings are distinguished by this effect. An honorary citizen of Moscow, merchant N. S. Vorobyov, and he ordered this house from L. IN. Stezhinsky, who created this stunning architectural creation at the end of the 18th century. By the way, you can still see the coat of arms of the first owner of the building above the central window.
In this house, the merchant located the office of his company, lived here himself, and rented out the remaining premises. After the revolution, the house repeatedly changed guests. At first, there was the Education Club of the Zamoskvoretsky District, and a little later the building housed the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR.
Now the mansion belongs to the University of the Russian Academy of Education.
