Profitable house K. I. Rosenstein
Civil engineer and architect Rosenstein himself designed his house in collaboration with A. E. Belogrud, who later lived in one of the local apartments.
A fan of medieval architecture, Belogrud built a building with elements of Gothic and Neoclassicism in the style of an English castle. The hexagonal towers that crown its central part resemble London's Big Ben, which is emphasized by the dial on one of the towers. Only not numbers are marked there, but symbolic images of zodiac signs. The lower floor is cut with Gothic pointed arches, and the shape of the windows on the upper floor reminds of the castle. The entire facade as a whole is replete with decorative elements.
The building served not only as a residential house. One of its wings housed a cinema, then a studio of Leningrad Television, and then the Experiment Theater.
Since 1996, the Andrei Mironov Russian Entreprise Drama Theatre has been located here.
