“Dachshund” monument

The residents of the city liked Arsen Avetisyan's bronze sculpture-shop so much that it actually became one of its symbols. The monument was erected in 2002, and three years later, on the City Day, next to the monument, the city authorities organized for the first time a gathering of dachshund owners with their pets. Since then, it has become a tradition.

Lovers of this breed also come to visit with their pets from St. Petersburg — the collection of dachshunds and owners turns out to be very funny. The festive column always walks along the main street to the square, there is a Dachshund parade, in which they compete in different nominations: “The Longest Dachshund”, “The Most Spotted”, “The Most Shaggy”. The holiday always gathers a lot of citizens and tourists.
