Old Believers is, in a way, an antagonist of the well-known Russian Orthodox Church. As a result of various perturbations and changes in the Church, temples were created for those who were against the reforms of the church that took place in 1650. As you know, true faith is in the soul, and it is impossible to break it, so a separate movement has appeared — the RDC or the Russian Ancient Orthodox Church.

Today, one of the largest churches of the RDC is the Pokrovsky Cathedral. It has a unique history and architecture. After the last acting priest was shot in 1931, the legendary Osoaviakhim was located here, and a little later - the Metrostroy branch. In 1990, when people turned to God again and the restoration of churches began, the Intercession Cathedral was returned to the Russian Ancient Orthodox Church.
