How long have we been surprised at the ability of Americans (and not only Americans) to erect monuments to a hamburger or lollipop chups. But now we can also enjoy seeing such works of art. But not everyone and not everyone. The Sahara Refinade Monument is known only to a select contingent and is carefully hidden from prying eyes.

This monument was erected in 2009 and is dedicated to a significant date: the Danilovsky Sugar Refinery was founded 150 years ago.

The monument is made in a minimalist manner: simple, concise and capacious. On the pedestal, a white sugar cube is mounted at an angle, resting on a cup-shaped stand. Only a few people know about the existence of the monument dedicated to refining - it is installed in the park where this sugar factory once functioned, and is closed to tourists and passers-by.
